• Academic certificates and transcripts
• Admission letter from the educational institution
• Proof of tuition fee payment (if applicable)
• A registered telephone number in the student's name
• A valid email address for the student
• Completing the Application Form

Access the HELB Website: Go to the HEF website at www.hef.co.ke and navigate to the Student Portal.

Financial Literacy Guide: Read through and complete the HEF Financial Literacy guide.

Registration:

• Click on "Loans," then "Students," and proceed to "Register" to create an account.
• Enter your ID number. If you do not have a National ID, you can use your KCSE Index number.
• Provide a valid email address and set a password, then click "Register."
• Check your email to activate your account and log in.

Alternative Method: Alternatively, you can download the HELB mobile application from the Play Store and follow the instructions to apply for the loan.

Attaching Required Documents

Ensure that you attach all the required documents to your application form, including:

Submitting Your Application

Submission: Submit one copy of the fully completed Loan Application Form and all the attached documents at any of the designated Huduma Centers across the country. Keep a copy of the form for your records.
